Privacy Policy for Lifeguard
The app “Ναυαγοσώστης” (Lifeguard), a Greek lifeguard exam preparation app for iPhone, iPad and Android, is developed by ANAVASIS LLC (“we”). This policy explains what data the app uses and why.
No account, data stays on your device
The app does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address or other identifying information, and the app does not use your location. Your quiz progress, flashcards, statistics and settings are stored only on your device. We do not use third-party analytics.
Advertising (Android only)
The iPhone and iPad app shows no ads.
The Android app shows ads provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google: banner ads appear in the app, and a full-screen ad may appear after you finish a mock exam. The optional one-time “Remove ads” purchase turns all ads off.
To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect information such as your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID), IP address, general location derived from it, device and app information, and your interactions with ads. Depending on your settings and region, ads may be personalised. Google processes this information under its own policies — see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Settings → Google → All services → Ads).
Purchases (Android)
The optional “Remove ads” purchase is made through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google; we never receive your payment details. The app checks with Google Play whether you own the purchase, so it can be restored if you reinstall.
AI assistant (Google Gemini)
The app includes an optional AI assistant. When you send a message, the text you type is sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate a reply. It is not linked to your identity by us and is used only to answer your question. Data sent to Google is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy. Please do not enter personal information in your messages.
Children
The app is intended for lifeguard exam candidates and a general audience. It is not directed to children.
Security and retention
All questions, flashcards and statistics work offline and remain on your device. Data sent to Google travels over encrypted connections. We do not keep copies of it.
Your choices
You can use the app without the AI feature, limit ad personalisation in your device settings, and (on Android) remove ads with a one-time purchase. Uninstalling the app deletes all data stored on your device.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
